Get Healthy - Mind, Body and Soul

Let’s chat about ways to get healthy, despite what life has thrown you. You can focus on yourself and make choices that bring life to your soul and encourage your spirit.


Self-care is live giving.

Take care of your mind:

  • Medications - take them if you need them. There is no shame in using science to help balance your brain.
  • Journal, artwork, therapy
  • Massage, nails, spa day- stay in your means. That may mean doing your own nails, or getting help from girlfriends, mom or sister.
  • Counseling - reveal the truth, reveal deception.
  • Worship, meditation
  • Hobbies- tv, movies, going out, cooking, crafting.

Body:

  • Diet - eat a variety of foods, limit sugar intake, drink plenty of water. Be weary of eating your feelings.
  • Healthy hobbies and celebrations - crafting, cooking, working out.
  • Exercise - move your body! commercial breaks are a great time to move.
  • Walking and light exercise is a good place to start.
  • Before your morning coffee - 10 lunge/high knees to kitchen, 10 pushups on wall, 10 squats. Get your blood pumping.
  • Wake up 30 minutes earlier. Positive self talk. Scripture, devotional.
  • Do your hair or makeup. Wash your face.
  • Fellowship with safe positive people - friend audit. who needs to move out of your circle and who should you draw closer to?

Soul:

  • Church - people you can connect with, hear life giving messages, corporate worship.
  • Prayer - having conv3ersatins with God, quiet time, breathe.
  • Sit in nature - meditate Pause App
  • Know the character of God. God is love.
  • Bible study - alone or in groups, Bible App has plans and events.
  • Community - serve, join a bible study or life group.
  • Focus on truth.
  • Worship - air1 radio nationwide (101.7 DFW), or app. Make a joyful noise to the Lord.
  • Scriptures - memorize, avoid doubt and shame. fact check the bible. God is love. Don't take out of context.

Take care of your mind with self-care.

Physically consider what you are taking in and balancing with what you are expending.

Spiritually consider what are you filling your soul with, how are you feeding your soul?
