In this episode of the GovFuture Podcast we feature a panel discussion from the November 8, 2023 GovFuture Forum Silicon Valley event that took place at Stanford University. The panel discussion focuses on “Advancing Cyber and Defense Tech”.
The panel discusses the current landscape of cybersecurity threats and how the Coast Guard is helping keep our ports safe. They also share examples of collaboration between Coast Guard and industry that leveraged DIU's process. Panelists also share how groups like NSIN proactively foster and support the development of new communities of innovators, both within and outside traditional defense and government circles. Additionally, the role that public-private partnerships play in advancing cyber and defense tech was also discussed.
There are so many incredible nuggets of knowledge shared throughout this entire panel it’s worth listening to the whole thing. The panelists at this event represent US Coast Guard, DIU, NSIN, and Gordian Knot Center for National Security Innovation.
