Meet Sal Marx: a visual storyteller, artist, and patient advocator out of New York City. This week’s episode tackles a different type of grief: chronic illness. After years of misdiagnosis and invisibility, Sal turned to art to express her grief and frustrations, earning a M.S. in Narrative Medicine from Columbia University. She helps patients, doctors, caregivers, and other stakeholders to synthesize stories into powerful tools for connection and shared-decision making.
