Paranormal: The Ghosts of the Hollenberg Pony Express

The pony express was open for 18 months, from April of 1860 through October 1861. And it covered approximately 2000 miles from St Joseph Missouri to Sacramento California. The riders on the Pony Express were said to have carried 35,000 pieces of mail over more than 650,000 miles back and forth during the 18 months. But this was an incredibly dangerous job, so much that the advert for the pony express said:

“Wanted. Young, skinny, wiry fellows not over 18. Must be expert riders, willing to risk death daily. Orphans preferred.”

When the pony express ended, some people say there are a bunch of riders that have chosen to remain at the station even though it was closed in the 1860s. Join us today to learn more about the ghosts of the pony express!

Stay safe out there.

With love,

Saaniya and Maddie x
