It is challenging running an Accounting firm in Australia these days. Keeping up to date with constant legislative changes, a need for specialist input, adapting to new technology, dealing with cybersecurity and ensuring excellent client service are only some of the ongoing issues.

That's why we have created a podcast, specifically designed to provide advice to accounting practices who might not have the resources or time to be across all of the needs of their clients.

Each episode will feature one of our Partners/Senior Executives focusing on a particular area of their expertise.

Episode 8: Paul Clements – Financial Advisory Services, a deep dive after the Royal Commission

Join us in this podcast episode where our host Andrew Ford interviews the Partner of Financial Services at Nexia, Paul Clements.

In this episode, we deep-dive into the field of Financial Advisory services. Paul explains how this area has changed following the Royal Commission, including the requirement of Financial Advisors to have acquired and maintain qualifications and professional accreditation. Paul further explains what Financial Advising can help with, who can access it, how it is structured, the benefits of the service, and the processes the team at Nexia follows when working with clients in this area.

This is a very comprehensive and insightful discussion.

Paul’s extensive experience in public accounting and taxation services includes tax and business consulting to SMEs through to small public companies along with individual tax compliance and advice, including to expatriates, business valuations and strategic wealth creation and financial planning for individuals and business owners. Paul has also worked in the fields of forensic accounting and fraud investigation and has experience with a range of not-for-profit organisations.
