Bob McGurty here - welcome to the Guided Life Plan podcast. In this podcast, I share my story of how I was adopted at age 16 by my stepfather Tom Kent and took the last name Kent for 10 years of my life. It is the story of a mom who struggled with depression, an absent father, an an overzealous step dad who wanted my brother and I to take his last name. The story also includes a lawyer who never lost, a public defender who didn't win, and a judge with a dilemma.
Why tell this story, what does it mean for me? I have been a life coach for 7 years and see storytelling as a strategy to help you. I want to help guide you into your life plan, your life story. It is my hope that this story and others like it will help connect you with perspective to those areas that are important for you to succeed and be who you want to be in life.
