Sustaining a career as a quick bowler to the age of 38 takes some doing. As Steve bowled his last ball in the first class game he was able to look back on 597 wickets taken in Australian and English cricket, principally with Western Australia, Queensland and Sussex. Retirement isn't as neat as drawing a line and moving on though. We were glad to have Steve join us to discuss his experience of leaving the game and the lessons he's picked up now the boots have been hung up.

This came after his professional cricket career started at age 27 with a snowboarding accident earlier leaving him seriously injured and any kind of sport seeming unlikely.
