True Healing Comes From Within, Through Self-Discovery, Ancestral Wisdom, and Connecting to Your Own Inherent Power
Today's guest is a Spiritual coach and healing practitioner, Welcome my guest Ericka Plater. Listen to Ericka's inspiring story on how she empowers and strengthens her clients by reminding them "you are the medicine you are seeking." Having to navigate change and disruption consistently throughout her career and personal life, Ericka is naturally solution-focused. She is a seeker of truth and deep understanding of self, an avid learner of various healing modalities including being a Reiki Master. She is no stranger to releasing traumas, imposter syndrome and  conquering fears and inadequacies to live a bold and rewarding life. She intentionally uses a blend of intellect, intuition and analytics in her work. She can synthesize large amounts of information and easily organize complicated concepts. She uses these skills to work with individuals, helping them tap into their personal power. Committed to improving the lives of women and children as well as underserved  communities, Ericka has lead workshops in the DC metro area for women and girls in collaboration with Whitman-Walker Clinic, and DC Rape Crisis Center. She also  coaches women along their life and career journeys. Workshop topics have included  healing from sexual abuse, living healthy, eating to live, and aspects of self-development. Her October 2019 speaking engagement with Whole Foods Foundation in  Detroit centered on overcoming trauma and negative choices to reclaim your personal  power. She has written articles, spoken at and facilitated conference and program  sessions related to the various areas she has mastered throughout her lifetime. Ericka is also experienced in business and organization development, governance, strategic planning, strengthening teams, building leaders and redesigning culture. She has over 25 years in business and nonprofit executive management and now consults organizations in these areas. ericka@groundwellcollective.com
