We begin a new series this week that features local programs geared toward kids. Our first series guest is Calia Knutson – founder and owner of Music Moves in Me. She discovered her passion for music early on, but it was after teaching young children that the idea to merge these two joys came about. Calia along with the teaching team at Music Moves in Me introduces young kids to music through fun, dynamic and developmental experiences. Children can explore various sounds, countless genres and numerous cultures through their mobile classes. In this episode, we talk all things music and the impact it has on our mind, mood and relationship with instruments. Calia shares how she came to first discover San Pedro and why it's her ideal place to call home. In this fun episode, Amanda and Jess reminisce over their first experience with music and rediscover the power music has.
