Joana Baptista is a multi-award winning social entrepreneur, public speaker and activist AND Economics & Management student at the University of Oxford.
Her social enterprise She., works to reverse taught prejudice by taking classic fairytales and rewriting them with a modern twist, and has reached over 15 countries and received endorsements from the likes of Peter Tatchell and Miriam Margolyes OBE.
Joana is also the co-founder of UniPear, an initiative to help minority and disadvantaged school students receive offers to Oxford University. Joana is also a 2 time TEDx speaker, with other notable talks including speaking for Facebook’s International Women’s Day, and to HRH Princess Anne.
Joana is the winner of several awards including the WeAreTheCity Rising Stars Entrepreneur and Startups Award, InspiringJuniors 2018, Women in Tech Most Promising Junior 2018, and the youngest ever recipient of the Women of the Future Young Star Award
