S6E6: Choosing Creativity: A New Career in Your 30s with Chisom of @Nri.Nka

Hello Hero Boys and Girls,

We started a new series called Celebrating Our 20s

We began this series in our 29th year as a way to honor how far we’ve come since launching HerOwnHero in our early 20s. A lot has shifted — our values, beliefs, and the way we view the world — and we wanted to take a moment to pause, reflect, and have honest conversations around those changes.

Our guest on this episode is Chisom from @Nri.nka

Chisom is a Toronto based food artist, photographer, and digital content creator.Chisom’s journey is a beautiful story of courage, creativity, and carving out a life beyond traditional expectations. Originally drawn to baking and cake decoration, her love for art, form, and color led her into food artistry and photography.

Her work, inspired by flowers, film, literature, and nature, captures warmth, sunshine, and joy — images ready to adorn the prettiest spaces. We asked hard questions like :

✨ Discovering the courage to embrace creativity over convention✨ The first time passion turned into real income✨ The hardest parts of walking an unconventional road✨ Advice for young women choosing their own paths

Chisom’s story is both vulnerable and inspiring, reminding us that there’s power in following your gifts — even when it means creating a new definition of success.

Join us as we reflect on the shifts, lessons, and milestones of our 20s, and celebrate the courage it takes to be your own hero.

Dont forget to subcribe and follow us on all platforms and share this with your friends who are turning a new age :)
