What really happens after we die? If God is love, do we get second chances?

What really happens after we die? If God is love, do we get second chances?
What really happens after we die—do people get a second chance with God if they rejected Jesus in this life?

In this message, we wrestle honestly with that question through Jesus’ own words in Matthew 25:31–46 and Luke 16:19–31.

We’ll see that Scripture teaches a fixed, irreversible separation between the righteous and the wicked after death (Hebrews 9:27), and that the “great chasm” Jesus describes is not a temporary waiting room, but a picture of finality.

Yet this is not a message of fear—it’s a message of hope, compassion, and urgency. We explore how God’s judgment flows from His righteousness, justice, faithful love, and truth (Psalm 89:14), and how eternal destiny is connected to real faith expressed through tangible compassion (1 John 3:17; Ephesians 2:8–10).

Most importantly, we proclaim the good news that today is the day of salvation. Because of Christ’s finished work—His blood that redeems and transfers us from darkness into His kingdom (Ephesians 1:7; Colossians 1:13)—there is no second chance after death, but there is mercy now.

🙏 Key Verse:
“Anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not come under judgment but has passed from death to life.” – John 5:24 (CSB)

Watch, reflect, and respond to the call to choose Christ today and live with eternity in view.
