Over the years, he has been gaining notoriety do to his unique style of mixing, scratching, and turntabalism that captivates crowds. Born and raised in the heart of Los Angeles (Downtown), Soundwave was introduced to the world of DJ'ing at a very young age by his older brother. Influenced by the Hip Hop culture and the art of scratching, he learned about music by listening and recording his favorite Hip Hop DJ's on Power 106. He started his vinyl collection by frequently going to record stores all over L.A. County. From South L.A., to the San Fernando Vally, and everywhere in between, he would buy doubles of all his favorite Hip Hop artists on vinyl. Mastering his skill by DJ'ing at several backyard parties, he continues to expand his knowledge by mixing and exploring different genre of music. Today, you can find Soundwave rocking crowds all over Los Angeles. If he is not at Spin Lounge or Tropic Lounge mixing it up, you can hear him on the radio dropping EDM sets on 107.1 FM for the AfterHours show on Saturday nights.
