Ever met someone that does something totally unimaginable to you?
This episode comes with a trigger warning, it involves a lot of conversation surrounding miscarriage, still births and perinatal death. If you or someone you know needs support you can find a number of different support services through joy.org.au/support.
This week’s guest is an illustrator who illustrates children’s books and Perinatal lost portraits, Larissa Reinboth. Larissa founded possum portraits which is a service that provides free perinatal portraits to grieving parents. We talk about why a service like this is so very important, not only to grieving loved ones but also to normalize conversation surrounding miscarriages, still births and perinatal death. We talk about how Larissa found herself in this sphere and the positive impacts her portraits have had for families, plus how she deals with the heart-breaking nature of what she does.
