High School Outlier.... Or SuperHero? - S1 E1 'I Am Not Okay With This' Review & Recap
In this episode, we meet Sydney, a 17 year old high school student who lives a pretty boring, yet challenging life. With her father having passed away and her family life being quite complicated, Syd is going through a difficult chapter. Thankfully, she has the support of her bubbly friend Dina, who is now dating the jock of the football team, Bradley Lewis (who Syd definitely hates).
Syd also seems to have a new friendship with her dorky yet extremely friendly and lovable neighbor, Stanley, who took a quick liking to her. While her two friendships are positives. her issue is that she seems to not have complete control over her emotions. While in a diner with Dina and Bradley, Syd gets a bit jealous of her best friend’s new man who is taking her attention, and somehow causes his nose to bleed. This definitely freaks Syd out, but not as much as when she gets angry at her mother for being insensitive and causes a huge crack in her bedroom wall with her anger. Syd starts to realize that she has some very rare abilities, but has no idea why...
