#25. Fitz Koehler. America's favorite Race Announcer is making a very noisy comeback
Fitz Koehler is a staple in the best and largest races in America. If you have run LA or Philadelphia marathons, or any of the DC races, chances are you have seen her at the start and finish lines. Last year, she was diagnosed with breast cancer after getting a clean bill of health just 7 weeks prior. She had to go through several rounds of aggressive chemo as well as a few surgeries; however she continued with all her commitments and showed up to each race with a smile on her face to cheer on us, runners, even as her hair was falling and she was feeling violently ill. She comes to the show today, 100% cancer free, to talk about this journey and about her book, ' My Noisy Cancer Comeback'. Her book is a memoir that will be very relatable to all of us, because it is a story of grit, resiliency and kindness, kindness to all of us, but also to herself.
