133. Lying is a form of masking and is ruining your self esteem

So it turns out lies - even the little white ones - have immense consequences on our abilities to build a self esteem! I discuss how lying:

  • challenges our sense of personal authority
  • decentres ourselves
  • is a form of manipulation that robs others of choice
  • causes moral injury
  • builds an immoral and cowardly world
  • has short term social benefits but long term self-esteem consequences
