Identity in Christ for Moms | Biblical Confidence, Freedom from Guilt, Healing from Shame, Closer with God

There is a yearning inside of you for a deep and meaningful relationship with God. You love Him but not like you know you could. Or should. You struggle with feelings of guilt because you know that often you’re just going through the motions rather than eagerly drinking from the well that never runs dry. You go through spurts of motivation and excitement and then crash down on feelings of discouragement or hopelessness. I know what it’s like to feel just a little lost. A little bit stuck. Or even, just flat out complacent. I understand that the reality of mom life and the day to day tasks can get in the way of all our best intentions. I also know that sometimes it’s just sheer exhaustion that keeps us from moving forward and growing in the Word of God and in our faith. God knows that motherhood is demanding and He made a way for you to be a mom and have a vibrant relationship with Him at the same time. He means for you to thrive in life and not merely get by. Let me be that voice in your ear (literally and figuratively) pushing you forward. Encouraging you. Sharing stories of hope. Of victories. Reminding you of His amazing love for you. And, maybe, giving you a swift kick in the pants to keep you going. My name is Helen Siemens and in this podcast I want to talk to you like I would over a good cup of coffee. Being your friend. Your cheerleader. Your sister in Christ.

29 | Why I Gave Up on New Year’s Resolutions—What I Do Instead
It's that time! Time to sit down, think about the coming year, and make some plans. But if you're anything like me, New Year's resolutions just don't work for you. They may be fun to write down and sound great, but only in theory, and that's where they often tend to stay. As someone who used to be completely unorganized and rather lazy, I can assure you that change is possible for all of us, no matter where we've come from or where we start. In this episode, I'm sharing with you the things that have actually worked for me to see change and growth, and I'm confident they can help you too.
