How come we have #wisdomteeth? In most cases, they're the teeth that turn up long after all of the others and wreck everything. And why are they called wisdom teeth? And why is it such an ordeal to have them removed? Come to think of it, how were they removed before dentists even existed? How were any teeth removed? For those of you thinking; "sure, they just tied a bit of string around the tooth and then around a door knob and slammed the door", what about when there were no doors?
