7. B cells, IgE antibodies, and Asthma with Dr. John-Paul Oliveria (Part 1 of 2)
In this week's episode, Dr. John-Paul Oliveria joins us to discuss the role of B cells in asthma, the importance of diversifying education during graduate school, and his involvement with clinical research.  Dr. Oliveria completed his Ph.D. at McMaster University, which explored the role of B cell subsets in promoting or reducing the allergic response in asthma. We also discuss how he dealt with hardships during his Ph.D. and what advice he has for current graduate students.
