In today’s episode, I interview Amanda Pichardo, who is a business owner and mental health advocate.Amanda comes from a childhood of severe abuse and neglect, got removed from her home when she was 8 years old, bounced around a bit and ended up adopted by an ex-girlfriend of her father’s. At 18 - she was emancipated as an adult and that’s when the rollercoaster began. Amanda has done a SERIES of things and odd jobs for money, but hit real success once she started her own beauty business and remained consistent with that. However, Amanda did fall victim to the social media facade and the sexual liberation brigade during her 20s and also built a pretty large following on that other side of her life. Fast forward to now, Amanda is a new mom - still have her business, she has leaned into her Christian faith and completely turned away from anything sex work related (only fans, strip clubs, posting sexy photos online) all of it. She chooses to live with a little less - of everything really, money, fame, likes, views on Instagram, in an effort to use her influence to be a better example not only for her daughter, but for other women who may be influenced by Amanda.
