Bioo works on producing electricity due to decomposition of organic substances by microorganisms in soil which releases electrons and are captured by system. Microorganisms breaks organic molecules setting electrons free, thus generating an electrical current in the cell. Sensor works only with soil, naturally present bacteria, fertilizers and water. Company claims the sensors to be half the price of batteries and 10 times cheaper than solar panels on agricultural sensors. These sensors can be applied in natural parks & gardens powering the light and systems with the electricity generated fitting into the landscape.
