You’re not “just” a stay-at-home-mom; you are a Mother, Called of God. You are the backbone of the nation, raising the future generation of leaders. As Erika Kirk reminded us, “Your family is your single most important ministry.” Are you done living lukewarm and letting society tell you how to raise your kids? You’ve found your community of uplifting moms. Do you feel stuck in stress and conformity, instead of family connection and intentional living? This is your permission to take charge of your home and your life. Are you ready to use your time to be mindful and connect spiritually, but you don't even know where to start? You have found your place of peace and encouragement. Welcome to Intentional Motherhood: Emotional Regulation for Present Moms, Calm Kids, & Peaceful Homes. I'm your host, Kelsey Redd, a Mental Health Therapist turned Stay-At-Home-Mom of four amazing kids. Through a decade of infertility, I dreamt of the kind of mother I would be and the kind of family I would have. But motherhood is a whole lot harder when you're in the thick of it, and after battling through postpartum depression after my twins were born, and postpartum anxiety after having my third baby in less than two years, I have finally come to place where I love motherhood! I think it's the best job in the world! And I want to share wisdom learned through my real and raw experiences as a Christian mom to help you realize you're not alone and you're doing the most important work! Each episode of Intentional Motherhood offers actionable parenting strategies, real mom-life stories, and expert child-development insights from my clinical background & experience as a twin-mom and mom of four to help you navigate the chaos of motherhood with purpose, presence, and grace. This podcast is your go-to resource for faithful moms raising large families who want to create a family culture through spirituality, mindfulness, and adventure. Podcast episodes will provide you with practical parenting tips to embrace intentional parenting over reactive responses. Learn to be the mindful mom you want to be, and have adventures with your kids. Discover how to create a sacred family space in a secular world, foster a family culture rooted in faith and values, and raise joyful, well-adjusted children that you enjoy being around. From sacred family rituals like family mealtimes to emotional regulation techniques for moms and kids, this show equips you to build a nurturing home that reflects your Family Culture. 38| My 3 (or More) Favorite Christmas Traditions with Kids

In this cozy holiday episode of Intentional Motherhood, Kelsey invites you into the heart of her family’s favorite Christmas traditions—simple, soul-settling rhythms that help kids stay grounded, grateful, and regulated in a season that often brings overwhelm.

After last week’s conversation about why “flu season” is really about lifestyle shifts, Kelsey now shares the traditions that keep her own home healthy, rested, and connected during the winter months. From gratitude rhythms in November to daily Advent practices, to the sweetest Christmas-week rituals, this episode is full of ideas that create real family culture and the “heartbeat of childhood.”

You’ll hear Kelsey talk about:

✨ Why rhythms and rituals matter
How repeating something year after year builds childhood memories, emotional safety, and a strong family culture.

✨ The daily traditions her kids love
Including the Thankful Tree in November and her simple, Christ-centered Advent calendar that keeps Jesus at the center of December.

✨ The cozy tradition that celebrates the first snowfall
Homemade donuts + apple cider = instant winter magic.

✨ How she prevents Christmas-morning overstimulation
By spreading out gifts across the month—Christmas pajamas on December 1st and a classic Christmas book on St. Nick’s Day (Dec 6).

✨ Her favorite Christmas-week rituals
The family movie tradition she won’t skip (The Nativity Story) and the magical night everyone sleeps under the Christmas tree.

✨ Simple acts of kindness for kids
How her family keeps their hearts on Christ through service—both for others in need and within their own home.

This episode is full of practical, meaningful ideas you can borrow or adapt to create your own family culture—anchored in Christ, rooted in joy, and rich with memory.

And don’t forget—Kelsey’s prayer-focused Bible study launches in January! Jump on her email list for updates and to access free resources like The 4 Part Apology Printable that helps kids make sincere, heart-centered apologies.
