A Podcast about growing with a twin brother up In the 70s and 80s, at the dawn of video games, navigating family strife, punk rock, Star Wars obsessions, and
trying to understand the world while developing an inexplicable
love for everything “Atari”.
--
In this podcast we discuss Atari computers and systems, new and old, review new games we collect, talk about all the systems, and the significance they had in our lives and the lives of others, and even talk about them in an historical context with the backdrop the times they were released, and how they are being used now.
We do all this in an effort to finally understand the answer to this existential question: what does it mean to have grown up in the generation of "the Vertical blank."

#151: Atari ST SHOW #1: Did Atari Knowingly Give Away Pirate Software? + ST News
In 1989 Atari Distributed a 4 disc game collection with new STs called “2- Great PD Games” that notoriously include some non-pd content. The Atari ST Show #1 we deep dive into the contents of these 4 disks and answer the question “Did Atari Knowingly do this?” We also look at the games and authors as a dive into the hobbyist history of the ST in the uSA. Plus, we take a brief look at a C library for developing STe games.
The Atari ST Show is brought to you by Into The Vertical Blank. Host Jeff Fulton (old man code).

This is my first full length video post on Windows 11. It uses a combination of Kdenlivve and Shotcut, neither of which can hold a candle to Power Director in windows. For the next video I will create a dual boot and try Davinci Resolve on a different flavor or linux just for video editing (rocky Linux)
The Front Cover of Start Magazine was chosen for the thumbnail not just for it’s excellent photo of the ST, but because it was the First issue and this is the first episode of the new series.
“The term "Jack Attack Victim" is an informal phrase used to describe individuals, particularly employees, suppliers, or partners, who were negatively affected by the notoriously tough, ruthless, and aggressive management style of Jack Tramiel at both Commodore and later at Atari”
