IOM Recommends is a podcast series all about just that. We spoke to some of our favourite musical figureheads and got their rundown on what makes their city unique.
At its inception, IOM Recommends was a travel guide for the audiophile. During its creation, it transformed into something greater: a series of conversations about the relationship between artist and environment. Mincy is a DJ, producer, label owner and promoter based in Sydney, Australia. The trajectory of dance music in Sydney and a broader Australia runs parallel to and diverges from that of the UK in some fascinating ways, but Sydney’s battles with authority and its fight to retain a vibrant underground are entirely its own.
