Im Mai 2023 fand erstmalig die Jahrestagung der IPU Berlin statt. Unter dem Titel »Trieb und Methode« sprachen Sozialpsycholog:innen, Psychoanalytiker:innen und Kulturtheoretiker:innen über psychoanalytische Perspektiven in der qualitativen Forschung. Prof. Dr. Elfriede Löchel hielt den Vortrag "Wo gesprochen wird, wird übertragen. Gesprächstexte und Szenen in der sozialpsychologischen Forschung". Sie ist Psychoanalytikerin und Seniorprofessorin an der IPU Berlin.
