This conversation is INCREDIBLE, sad and eye opening all in one.
We talk to Britnee Kinard who is an Entrepreneur, Author, Speaker, Advocate and full time caregiver to her husband. Britnee Advocates for trauma survivors and fellow military caregivers, a special needs mom herself. Britnee founded the SD Gunner Fund in 2014 which is a registered non-profit with a mission to provide a world-class service dog training and advocacy program to support military families, first responders, and children with disabilities.
Britnee consults with and speak to companies and organizations nationwide to educate and inspire, showing how critical courage is to live a life of impact and purpose while raising awareness about military caregivers as well as how to turn trauma into triumph. In addition to speaking engagements. She offers programs to companies and organizations that feature business compliance, education, training, and resources on service dog laws, ADA service dog regulations, and HUD/FH service dog and emotional support animal laws.
When we say she's a rockstar human, we mean it!
We talk about her fight with the VA for her husband's benefits after he was injured and needed care full time. We talk about financial struggles, parenting special needs and all the things she has going on.
