Manuel Cid, a seasoned law enforcement professional with twenty years of experience, is set to become Anaheims new chief of police. He will take over from Chief Rick Armendariz, who retired in December. Cid, a first-generation Cuban American, has served in various roles, including chief of the Culver City Police Department. He will lead the largest police department in Orange County, overseeing over six hundred employees and four hundred thirty sworn officers. Cid has pledged to ensure residents feel safe in Anaheim.
