Pap’- made from milled maize look for iwisa
Biltong – dried meat
Mashonzha- worms from mopane tree
Mahewu- made from left over pap’ it’s fermented
Boerewors – spiced sauages eaten in BBQ / braai
Potjeikos- stew made from boiled meat mixed with vegetables eaten with pap’
Amasi – sour milk fermented eaten with pap’
Isidudu- pumkin pap’
Ostrich - intshe . stew it or turn it into dried meat
Beef - inyama yenkomo
Chicken- inyama yenkukhu, wosa inkukhu- roast the chicket
Umngqusho- samp
Bambara groundnut/ indlubu/yubo beans- type of nut but not oily like most nuts
Locust –intethe
Maize ummbila roast or boil
Fish – inhlanzi
Common food
Watermelon –ikhabe
Iganda- egg
Milk- ubisi
Juice- umhluzi
Cooking oil- amafutha wokupheka
Bread –isinkwa
