IUI and IVF its a lot....

In this weeks episode of what your Mumma went through (new episodes every Monday) we discuss IUI and what’s involved. I went through 2 rounds of IUI and planned on doing a third but needed to reschedule due to a cyst. There are a number of varying elements to IUI, mainly to do with the weeks prior to the insemination. In this episode I am honest about what it’s like both physically and mentally. I truly hope this helps. ❤️ Below is the serious explanation if you want my take on it have a cheeky listen to my latest episode. For more me, who wouldnt want more of me. Well, more of IVF or anything else. Biancazouppas.com is where to go. Lots of Love xxxx IUI stands for Intrauterine Insemination. It is a type of assisted reproductive technology (ART) in which sperm are placed directly into a woman's uterus during ovulation in order to increase the chances of fertilization.

The process of IUI typically involves washing and preparing sperm to concentrate healthy and active sperm before transferring them directly into the uterus using a thin catheter. This technique aims to bypass the natural barriers that sperm face in their journey towards the egg, thus increasing the likelihood of successful fertilisation.

IUI is often used as a first-line treatment for couples who have unexplained infertility, mild male factor infertility, or ovulatory disorders. It can also be used in combination with fertility drugs to stimulate ovulation and increase the chances of success.
