Bihar: 47 Lakh Voters Removed! Where Are the ‘Illegal Immigrants’? | SIR 2025
In June 2025, the Election Commission launched the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Bihar, claiming it was meant to identify and remove “infiltrators” — illegal foreign voters — from the electoral rolls. But three months later, when the SIR ended, it turned out that 4.7 million names were deleted without any explanation. The Commission hasn’t clarified how many illegal foreigners were found or why these names were removed. From Darbhanga to Munger, officials called the data “confidential.” Even on Aadhaar, the Commission’s stance remained unclear. In this episode of 'Janab Aise Kaise?', Shadab Moizee asks — did SIR bring transparency, or did it only deepen the mystery?
