After the recent election I kind of went into a little depression. I know not everyone felt the same about the outcome but I was personally feeling pretty down, like many. And I’m a songwriter, so I deal with my feelings by writing songs. I had an idea to make a quick solo album just to get the music out, because I thought some of them were decent. But I honestly just didn’t want to spend much time dwelling in that headspace (unbelievable, I know). I had the idea to instead just record them quick for a podcast. That way I could dump them out into the world and then move on with my life. Yeah. I wrestled with sharing this but decided it was worth it if the songs can comfort others in a low emotional place.
