History doesn't repeat but it does rhyme. When I graduated in 2011 with a Master's Degree in the Roman Empire, I didn't think I'd be this relevant in 2024. This channel looks at the history of Rome's rise and fall and relates it to the modern day, most closely to what's happening in America. We seek to understand the problems of Rome, recognize their solutions and hopefully preserve our civilization.

Did Rome Really Fall? The Truth About Its Legacy

Buckle up for a thought-provoking discussion that uncovers how Rome’s influence echoes in modern societies, from politics to military reforms. Discover how figures like Augustus, Julius Caesar, and Diocletian reshaped the empire and explore the dramatic shifts during events like the Punic Wars, the rise of military emperors, and the infamous 3rd-century crisis. Why did the Republic crumble? What role did barbarians play in Rome's final days? And how does this ancient empire still hold lessons for us in today’s political landscape?
