This is the first B-A-K TRACK show on the K-A-B ART + SOUND LISTENING POD, where artist Kelly Ann Buckley takes the opportunity to share her own work with the audience. This featured piece is titled Dying Ice and is part 3 of a 5-part audio-visual commission called Echoes In The Fossils, created for Focal Point Gallery in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, UK. Echoes in the Fossils explores the concept of lost soundscapes, from the Mesolithic heartland of Europe—now known as Doggerland—lost to the North Sea around 8,000 years ago, to imagined futures in 'After the Anthropocene' in Part 5. Part 3: Dying Ice experiments with the sound of disappearing glaciers, transforming the frequencies of melting ice into musical notes.
