These golf brands - like Takomo, Ben Hogan, New Level and Tour Edge - are becoming increasingly more popular and prevalent, but what are they and how do they differ from the original equipment manufacturers like Callaway and TaylorMade? Is the gap between these brands and the OEMs closing? Which categories, if any, do these brands still struggle to compete in? Joe picks his favourite brands for each equipment sub cateogry to let you know which brands to target in certain areas of the bag, and which to avoid.

We then welcome two-time U.S Open winner and fellow equipment nerd Retief Goosen onto the show. Our co-host Sam De'Ath met up with Retief at this year's Senior Open to talk all things equipment about a man who still builds his own clubs to this day - one of us!!
