Nesting, Nudes, New Politics, and… Am I Dramatic or Just Passionate?

Nesting, Nudes, New Politics, and… Am I Dramatic or Just Passionate?

In this week’s episode, we are officially in countdown mode – six weeks to baby (!!) – and you can hear the nesting energy through the mic.

We catch you up on:

• What we’re watching (Dancing with the Stars, Kardashians, and why male partners sometimes feel like just a prop on the dance floor)

• What we’re eating (a dreamy Italian night at Salento, why restaurant Caesar salad hits different, and my proud little baby shower dessert table moment with donuts, teddy grahams and all the cozy baked goods)

• Our physical check-ins – Adam’s desperate plea to “bring daddy back” before those first shirtless newborn photos (aka: 42 days to get his arms together 😂) and my 4am fight with baby feet in my ribs, playing whack-a-mole inside my body

• My spiritual check-in as we hit the final stretch: relief, gratitude, and the weird sweetness of knowing our son now… while also knowing he’ll feel like a total stranger the second he’s in our arms

Then we dive into Couples Therapy Corner with a listener question:

“He said I’m dramatic, I said I’m passionate. Who’s right?”

We talk about:

• The difference between being “dramatic for fun” vs. being dismissed in an argument

• When “you’re just being dramatic” is actually a red flag

• Why sometimes… yeah, you might be the drama (and that’s not always a bad thing)

• How we see ourselves: one of us bringing the drama, one bringing the passion, and why most of Lauren’s life is actually a bit… theatrical on purpose

For Pop Culture / Current Events, we somehow cover:

• A new peanut allergy patch treatment for kids (epicutaneous immunotherapy – basically “touch me with a peanut” until it’s safe 😅)

• Marjorie Taylor Greene suddenly “repenting” her Trump era and what that says about the political climate right now

• Vine coming back as “Divine,” the promise of an AI-free short-form platform, and whether that’s even realistically enforceable

• The unhinged history of Snapchat, nudes culture, surprise pics nobody asked for, and why Adam still hasn’t sent a single one (spoiler: it might be his last great secret)

We wrap with our Word of the Week:

• “Countdown” – because the holidays, gigs, family birthdays, and baby’s arrival are about to make time absolutely fly

• “Nesting” – rearranging the house, painting the bedroom, organizing baby things, and finally feeling like our space matches the season we’re stepping into

If you’re pregnant, in your nesting era, or just love listening to unfiltered couple banter about bodies, politics, and pop culture in the same breath… this one is for you. 🍼✨
