On 7th November 2022, the Indian Supreme Court upheld the constitutional validity of the 103rd Constitutional Amendment by which Parliament inserted Articles 15(6) and 16(6) into the Constitution, enabling reservations in jobs and education for the "Economically Weaker Sections" (EWS).
