This article examines six evidence-based approaches for quantifying the return on investment of strategic human resource initiatives: connecting employee attrition to customer outcomes, pricing upskilling gaps, integrating talent strategy into mergers and acquisitions, modeling workforce risk scenarios, quantifying opportunity costs of unfilled roles, and forecasting people costs as growth drivers. Drawing on organizational behavior research, financial analytics, and cross-industry applications, we demonstrate how HR functions can shift from reactive cost centers to proactive value creators.
