Thanksgiving's here, and the debate about whether to wash your turkey before cooking keeps coming up. I'm all for cleaning turkey, but I think we're missing the bigger picture of cultural practices and how scientific research gets communicated to different groups. This episode explores the nuances of food handling and food hygiene in the context of race and tradition, especially when considering why Black people are extra conscious about what they put into their bodies.
