Why Worship Wins: Kaylani’s Fight Against Mental Darkness

This week, Brittany sits down with Kaylani, whose journey from the depths of depression and anger to the fullness of freedom in Jesus will leave you speechless...and full of hope.

Kaylani’s story begins with pain: bullying, medical battles, church hurt, and years spent wrestling with suicidal thoughts. But through an undeniable encounter with Jesus and a transformative season at BSSD (Bethel School of Supernatural Discipleship), Kaylani began to find healing and a whole new way to live.

In this vulnerable conversation, she shares what it looked like to worship through the darkness, find community and solid theology, and allow the Lord to transform deep places of pain into places of purpose.

In this episode, Kaylani and Brittany talk about:

  • How childhood trauma and bullying fed a cycle of depression and rage
  • What happened when Kaylani encountered the presence of God in her bedroom
  • The impact of KYLO (Keep Your Love On), Dan Weber, Dan McCollum, and BSSD
  • Worship as a weapon in the fight for mental health
  • Why loving God doesn’t exempt you from pain, but His love always leads to healing
  • How to walk with Jesus when your emotions tell you to give up

Kaylani puts it simply: “There wasn’t a single day that went by when I didn’t want to end my life. Now, my life is full.”

This is an episode for anyone who feels stuck in darkness—and needs to know there’s a way out.

Mentioned in this episode:

Keep Your Love On – Danny Silk
