Retired doctor Stephen Cox, convicted of sexually assaulting female patients, has lost his appeal against a 22-year prison sentence. The Court of Appeal dismissed his arguments, describing the offenses as shocking and involving a high degree of breach of trust. Cox assaulted women, some as young as 14, over nearly a decade, and his legal team argued for a reduced sentence. However, the Court of Appeal found no error in the sentencing approach, stating that the original judge was well-placed to determine a just and proportionate sentence. Thames Valley Police are now investigating potential further offenses during Coxs career.
