Prior to moving to the Bay Area, Dr. Velázquez completed her Internal Medicine residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York City, where she also was a former Chief Resident. Dr. Velázquez is a proud native Puerto Rican and a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion. She has a long-standing commitment to serving vulnerable, underserved, and minority populations.
