•Damita is a trailblazing voice in gospel and inspirational music, known for her powerful vocals, heartfelt songwriting, and unmatched creativity. She began her career in 1991 with the a cappella group Adoration N Prayze, earning a Stellar Award nomination with their debut album Time Is Running Out. Her song “He’s Wonderful” was later recorded by Donald Lawrence & The Tri-City Singers, further showcasing her gift as a songwriter. •She went on to co-write and lead with Voices of Unity, earning a Stellar Award in 2003 for “My Soul Says Yes, ” andlater signed with Atlantic Records for her self-titled solo debut DAMITA, which brought multiple award nominations, including the Dove Awards.•A three-time cancer survivor and recipient of the Lifetime Presidential Award from President Joe Biden and VicePresident Kamala Harris, Damita’s story is one of resilience and purpose. She has worked alongside legends like Aretha Franklin, contributing vocals to the Waiting to Exhale soundtrack, and has written for major gospel acts like Men ofStandard.•Still touring, recording, and producing, Damita continues to inspire audiences worldwide with a sound that is bold, healing, and timeless.•Her latest single, “Fiy” is available on all digital streaming outlets.
