Though the Detroit Lions secondary on defense is depleted - the backups made names for themselves vs the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Lions defense held Baker Mayfield and the Bucs to only 9 points total in the NFL Monday Night Football game in Week 7 of the 2025 season. The Lions look to be as good as presumed, or rather as some presumed.
Jahmyr Gibbs put up over 200+ yards total vs the Bucs defense meanwhile the Bucs struggled heavily against the Lions depleted Secondary. Even without Brian Branch, Kerby Joseph or Terrion Arnold, the Lions won 9-24 at home in Detroit.
