Episode Three: A Conversation with Will Goodon from the Manitoba Metis Federation
In this episode, Bryna Link (Peguis First Nation) and Hannah Connelly speak with Will Goodon, the Minister of Housing and Property Management for the Manitoba Metis Federation. He shares about his own experience growing up with deep connections to his Metis roots, the importance of bringing culture into the present, mental health, and also gives us a bit of teaser about the new Metis Heritage centre that is being built in Winnipeg. You can follow Will on Twitter @willgoodon and the Manitoba Metis Federation @MBMetis_MMF.
The music used in this podcast comes directly from the Li Keur, Riel's Heart of the North dramatic musical. In this episode, we also feature fiddler Alex Kusturok, playing the Red River Jig. We apologize for any sound issues; with the pandemic circumstances, we are forced to remotely record our podcasts!
