On this episode of the Total Bases Podcast, Felipe is joined by James to discuss the keepers that were selected by the members of the Baseball Life Fantasy Baseball League.
The guys talked strategy, possible reasons behind each team's selections, as every team got to keep three, active players, plus five, protected minor league players, as well as figure out which teams had the best collection of keepers heading into the the league's annual slow draft.
The show then switched gears to the pitching pandemic that is currently plaguing Major League Baseball as the guys discuss possible reasons for the struggles that have come from pitchers, especially as it pertains to their health.
This then led the guys through a rabbit hole as they looked at the contact and swing rates, batted ball data, pitch velocities and horizontal movements of the last 20 years and why teams did not adopt the 2015 Kansas City Royals' model and how the launch angle revolution might be an underrated reason for these pitching injuries.
