In this episode of the Total Buckets Podcast, Felipe is joined by James to discuss the Basketball Life fantasy basketball league. Whereas Felipe is flying high with a 13-1 record, James is struggling with a 6-8 record and four games back of a playoff spot. James explains what has gone right and what has gone wrong for his team, including injuries to star player, Paolo Banchero.
The guys proceed to discuss Mike’s team and why his team has been the worst team in the league for the majority of the season and once again injuries to star players is the culprit, mostly the fact that Luka Doncic has been out for a majority of the season.
The guys then focused on Erin’s team as it appears that she has shown improvement since the last episode of the podcast and gauge her chances on making a late run for the playoffs.
Felipe’s team is the Juggernaut of the league.
The guys also talked some real basketball as they try to figure out what has gone wrong with the Sacramento Kings, why the Knicks are an exciting team from top to bottom, why Keldon Johnson seems to have fallen out of favor in San Antonio, and what will the Orlando Magic look like going forward.
The last few segments of the episode sees the guys visiting the NBA Sortable Player stats and look at the Hustle statistics, the best defenders based on defensive field goal percentage, and the best shooters from 15 to 19 feet in today’s game and how the list differs from 20 years ago when Chris Webber led the league in field goal attempts from this range, and from the 1996-97 season, when Michael Jordan lived on the mid-range.
