Today's Bible Translation
Bible translation used in today's episode: Ch. 1 NIRV
Podcast Introduction
Today is Epistles Sunday. Our reading will be the tiny little book of Jude. Just 24 verses. And while it is short, we need to remember that it’s in the Bible for a reason. It’s message is important. I’m calling this episode “A Call to Persevere.“

Summary
Jude's letter still resonates with relevance today. It emphasizes the need to defend our faith, especially in a time when Christianity faces challenges. The idea that Christianity is always one generation away from extinction underscores the importance of passing down the faith to the next generation.
We have a responsibility to follow Jesus' Great Commission, which calls for spreading the Gospel to all nations.
Jude also addresses the issue of false teachers who misuse God's grace to justify sexual sin. Modern arguments about love and God's acceptance parallel Jude's description of people doing what feels natural to them.
Jude encourages believers to abide in God's love, pray guided by the Holy Spirit, live lives that honor God, and offer praise to Him and Jesus Christ. His message transcends time, speaking to the early church, the contemporary church, and future generations.
