Peter MacKeith, dean of the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design at the University of Arkansas, is stepping down after a decade of significant growth. Enrollment surged from 425 to 1100 students, and scholarships doubled. Under his leadership, the school built the award-winning Anthony Timberlands Center for Design and Materials Innovation, boosting the universitys reputation and supporting Arkansass timber industry and affordable housing efforts. MacKeith plans to continue his work on timber and wood design initiatives as faculty. The university will soon search for his successor.
