Questions for Group Discussion
1. Read Luke 23:39-43. In what ways are the two thieves the same, and in what ways are they different?
2. Have you considered that these two thieves represent us: humanity? What is significant about that?
3. When the second thief says, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom,” what do you think he means, and what is he hoping for?
4. In what way does Jesus’ statement to the thief—“Today you will be with me in paradise” —bring encouragement to you when you think about your own life or about the lives of those around you?
5. As we look ahead towards Advent and the coming of Christ, what do you sense God is calling you to pursue in order to get ready?
